Mugi Info - Recycling

Here at Mugi we try to recycle as much as possible. We are a very small company but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try hard to mimimise our environmental impact. We've taken the following steps, among others to reuse materials where possible:

  • Our twinwall polypropylene sheet is made from a portion of reclaimed material and is itself recyclable
  • Our packaging uses reclaimed materials - see below
  • We use only recycled printer paper for office uses - eg. receipts, purchase orders etc.
  • Our brown wrapping paper is made from recycled paper

This isn't often the easy way to do things. For example, when you buy a Mugi kit the instructions often arrive in a sealed plastic wrapper. We take these from junk mail received in the post, carefully cutting along the top, removing the original contents and then resealing with our heat sealing tool.

Our kit components are also packaged using reclaimed plastics. Adrian (G4LED) is the master of reusing materials and collects scraps of clear polythene from all the junk mail we receive. It's time consuming to do things this way but a step in the right direction!
