Du-Bro Aileron Connector and Dual Take Off Ball Link
To give it the full name on the tag. Basically a metal ball joint with stud and attachment nut, nylon cup double asembly with twin brass threaded extenders giving a neat push-pull ouput. Take off is at both sides from the extenders, having an integral stem hole fractionally smaller than 2mm; this can be soldered if required. Fits 2mm carbon fire rod if lightly sanded.
The assembly weighs 2g and adjusts from 45 ~60mm across, 4mm stand-off to the centre line and 7mm overall depth. Incompatible with our favourite Radio-Active components as it is American produced; one day RA will manufacture a similar product (we are working on them) but this is next best.
Advantage is the maximum throw possible off a servo disc or arm, equal throws off centre and the reduced space needed. Highly convenient in fact for an aileron connection; rudder/nosewheel, boat twin rudders etc.
