Suitable for 2-4 cell Lithium Polymer  battery packs;  auto detected and LED indicated.  Best used in conjunction with  a portable Voltmeter so that the voltage state of your LiPo cells can be checked prior to charging. See details in the enclosed safety leaflet -you must know what you are doing with these high energy type battery packs. Three charge rates are available 1000mA, 1500 mA and 2000mA from the on-board microprocessor, button selectable sequentially. The unit boosts the output voltage to that needed by the higher cell count packs and has short circuit protection. But still take care as you connect up the leads. An LED indicator lights up and an audio buzzer warns. The unit is designed for 12V operation and is perhaps best wired to a cigarette lighter type plug, fused of course. Use with the vehicle engine off to ensure a steady 12V, charge with a lead outside the vehicle and monitor the cells! Remember, particularly with modern vehicles, that the car's voltage rests at a nominal 12V but can range in use from -5 to +35V as circuitry is often multiplexed. So avoid driving along and doing a last minute top-up charge. The secret lies in your complete control of affairs. Fitted with red and black banana plugs on the input 700mm long (12V) lead. Output short red and black leads terminating in white polarised two pin plug, tiny red 2 pin shielded socket and with a pair of colour coded crocodile clips.
